State Convention

On June 10th we had a meeting with Yukon Superintendent, Dr. Jason Simeroth, Yukon High School Principal, Melissa Barlow, and Yukon STUCO Advisor, Darryl Andrews, on where the district stood regarding our Fall State Convention in light of COVID-19. Dr. Simeroth stated Yukon was not comfortable hosting an in-person State Convention in the Fall or Spring.

As we shift to a virtual platform, please note that while things will look different this year (as a lot of things we face in the Fall will), we plan to bring the same quality content while respecting the limitations of the forums we are doing them in. Content will probably be offered only Saturday/Sunday (November 6th/7th) instead of our traditional Saturday, Sunday and half day Monday. Election process and campaigning will look different this year. Some content will be offered at a view at your convenience while general session content will be reviewed for must haves--content will be slimmed down/combined to respect everyone's time/attention span on a digital forum.

Thank you ahead of time for your patience as we work through these issues in the coming month. We will put finalized information out as it comes.

We are all in this weird experiment together. Please note you can always feel free to reach out to me with any of your questions or concerns.
